About Lab Booths
Autocoat has designed and developed a wide series of Lab Booths designed to fulfil stringent pollution norms as well as with amazingly low running cost. Autocoat is a Manufacturer and Exporter of Laboratory Booths in India — building Lab Booths to last with quality appearance and 100% in-house assembly and trials to ensure guaranteed performance both at the factory and at the customer’s premises.
Autocoat’s computer-generated labels and lamination, detailed drawings and well-documented manuals will save you time and money when it comes to the effective use of the Laboratory Paint Booth throughout its lifetime. Autocoat’s Rubber Bonding Spray Booth is also popular — with design changes made as required, many Rubber Bonding Paint Booths are in use at OEMs across India.
While submitting a quote, Autocoat insists on collecting the office room plan for technical suitability of performance — especially if the lab room is a closed type with limited air intake. Each quote is provided complete with an AutoCAD drawing.
Lab Booth Types – Water Type & Dry Back
Autocoat Lab Booths are available in two main configurations — select based on your paint type and production requirements:
The Autocoat Water Lab Booth is designed with a pumpless miniature washing chamber which uses turbulent action to separate paint particles. The best advantage of the Water Type Lab Booth is that lumps of waste paint are collected in the collection tank — making it easy for the user to dispose of paint waste.
Suitable for all of the following paint types:
- Baking paints & air dry paints
- Water base paints & solvent based paints
- Primer, sealer & undercoat
- Finishing coats of all types
- Epoxy paints
- Alkyd paints
- Acrylic paints
- Polyurethane (PU) paints
The Autocoat Dry Back Lab Booth is ideally suitable for samples of all non-sticky overspray paints — such as air dry paints, quick drying polyurethane (PU) paints and similar paints that produce non-sticky over-sprayed paint particles.
Autocoat New Series Dry Back Lab Booth incorporates:
- Specialty 4-level metal baffle filtration
- Suitable for low paint consumption — PU & air drying paints
- Specialty metal baffle design — filter replacement cost amazingly low
- Meets pollution norms for Particulate Matter
- Capital cost less than water wash booth
Autocoat Lab Booth – Key Features
Autocoat Lab Booths are designed and manufactured with the following proven features:
- Built to LastQuality appearance with 100% in-house assembly and trials — guaranteeing performance at the factory and at the customer’s premises throughout the booth’s lifetime.
- Stringent Pollution NormsDesigned to fulfil stringent pollution norms — both Water Type and Dry Back Lab Booths meet Particulate Matter pollution requirements.
- Amazingly Low Running CostSpecialty metal baffle design on Dry Back Lab Booth ensures filter replacement cost is amazingly low. Water Type uses a pumpless chamber — no pump maintenance cost.
- Specialty 4-Level FiltrationDry Back Lab Booth incorporates Autocoat’s specialty 4-level metal baffle filtration system — superior overspray capture at every stage.
- AutoCAD Drawing with Every QuoteEach quotation is provided with a full AutoCAD drawing. Autocoat also collects the office/lab room plan for technical suitability — especially for closed-type lab rooms.
- Complete DocumentationComputer-generated labels, lamination, detailed drawings and a well-documented manual — saving time and money throughout the lab booth’s lifetime.
Autocoat Dry Back Lab Booth vs Competitor Lab Booths
Unlike competitor lab booths that use standard paint filters, the Autocoat Dry Back Lab Booth uses a specialty metal baffle design that dramatically reduces running costs:
- Specialty 4-level metal baffle filtration
- Metal baffles are cleanable and reusable
- Filter replacement cost — amazingly low
- Consistent booth performance maintained
- Meets Particulate Matter pollution norms
- Capital cost less than water wash booth
- Painter comfort — clean, efficient air exhaust
- Standard coarse paint filters supplied
- Filters choke within 1 week at 10 ltrs/shift
- Choked filters must be replaced entirely
- Heavy, recurring filter replacement cost
- Choked filters restrict airflow completely
- Painter discomfort — production loss
- Many booths lie idle due to high filter cost
Unlike Autocoat’s specialty metal baffle design, competitor lab booths are often provided with paint filters which choke very quickly — for paint consumption of just 10 litres per shift, filters can choke in 1 week. Once choked, filters must be replaced entirely to restore booth performance. If not replaced, the painter is uncomfortable and resists carrying on — causing production loss. Autocoat’s metal baffle design solves this problem permanently, delivering amazingly low running costs for the entire lifetime of the lab booth.

Compliance & Key Benefits
Operator Safety
Adequate exhaust ensures the painter’s breathing zone is kept free of solvent fumes and paint overspray at all times — critical in enclosed laboratory and R&D environments.
Fire Safety
Efficient exhaust of flammable solvent vapours eliminates fire risk in and around the laboratory spray painting area — important in closed laboratory and paint testing environments.
Pollution Norms
Both Water Type and Dry Back Lab Booths are designed to meet Particulate Matter pollution norms — no regulatory concerns for laboratory and R&D facilities.
Paint Sample Quality
Clean, controlled airflow in the enclosed lab booth ensures accurate, contamination-free paint sample results — essential for colour matching, R&D and quality control applications.
