About Side Draft Paint Booths
As per OSHA Standards, the effectiveness of the Side Draft Paint Booth is dependent upon the air draft moving in the direction of spray painting while the painter is inside. In a Side Draft Paint Booth — open from the front side — air draft moves horizontally towards the exhaust chamber, carrying overspray paint particles along with the direction of airflow away from the painter’s breathing zone.
In the Side Draft Painting Booth, the component is rotated using different devices such as a Turntable, Scissor Lift with Turntable, Rotating Hanger suspended from the top, Hoist with Rotating Hook and similar devices. With such devices, the painter remains at the same location and spray painting of all sides of the component is possible inside the Side Draft Painting Booth.
