What is a Spray Bake Booth – Garage Paint Booth?
There is an elaborate painting process carried out by parent car or two-wheeler manufacturing companies — involving pretreatment, primer coat, finish coat and lacquer coat, all followed by curing in a high-temperature oven (120–180°C). The cost of such painting plants in OEM factories can range from ₹2 crore to ₹300 crore — equipment that cannot be purchased by local dealers, body shops or repair vendors.

The spray booth cum oven consists of a 4 metres × 8 metres ground clear space which can accommodate one standard car inside for the painting job. There is a separate exhaust blower to carry all waste spray from the painting zone. A separate set of blowers provides clean air from the top ceiling plenum chamber — achieving up to 5-micron dust count depending on the finish required.

In this mode the car body or damaged part is thoroughly cleaned, wiped and spray painted with the required colour inside the spray booth cum oven.
