Auto Spray Painting System – Autocoat
Autocoat Engineering offers Automatic Painting Machines and Auto Spray Painting Systems — designed in Japan, Taiwan and China — to Indian manufacturers seeking to increase productivity, reduce painting costs and achieve consistent international-quality finishes. Turnkey painting plant manufacturer since 1985, based in Thane, Maharashtra.

About Automatic Painting Machines
Autocoat Engineering (I) Pvt. Ltd. is already in manufacturing of painting plants on a Turn Key Basis — having supplied many large Spray Painting Booths and Conveyorised Phosphating & Painting Plants all over India, Bahrain, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and more.
To increase productivity and reduce the cost of painting, Automatic Spray Painting Systems are designed and developed in Japan, Taiwan and China — and are extremely popular, resulting in competitive products. Autocoat is now offering great opportunities to Indian manufacturers with such versatile Automatic Painting Machines.
The basic need for an automatic painting machine is that the quality of painting cannot be matched with manual spray painting — and high production capacity can be achieved at a comparatively lower cost when compared with conventional painting practices in India.
How the Automatic Painting System Works
Automatic Painting System — Technical Description
An Automatic Painting System has a Painting Booth composed of a partition having side walls, a ceiling and a floor — which jointly define a working space isolated by the partition from exterior space for accommodating a work piece to be painted in a position therein. The partition has air inlet and outlet ports opening into the working space.
A movable painting mechanism — such as an Automatic Spray Gun — is disposed adjacent to the work piece position and controlled by a control unit disposed outside of the Painting Booth, including a drive source. The control unit and the movable painting mechanism are interconnected by an arm accommodated in an arm housing extending through the partition — with a sealing member hermetically sealing the gap between the arm housing and the partition.
What an Automatic Painting Machine Must Deliver
Autocoat evaluates every Automatic Painting Machine against the following key performance requirements before offering it to Indian manufacturers:
Eliminate Skilled Painter Dependency
The machine must replace the need for a skilled painter or operator — enabling any trained worker to achieve consistent results without specialist painting expertise.
Consistent Quality on Every Product
Must deliver consistent, repeatable painting quality on every unit — eliminating the variation in finish that comes with manual spraying and reducing rejection rates.
Simple to Operate
The system must be simple to operate — with intuitive controls and minimal operator intervention required once the machine is set up for a specific product and paint type.
High Productivity of Paint Consumption
Achieves high production output with optimal paint consumption — reducing paint waste and overspray compared to manual painting methods for the same production volume.
Lowest Cost Per Unit
The combination of reduced manpower, consistent quality, lower rejection rates and optimised paint consumption delivers the lowest possible cost per painted unit in production.
International Quality & Highly Economical
Must be of international quality, highly economical and reliable — meeting the quality standards of Indian manufacturers who supply to export markets and ISO-certified customers.
Types of Automatic Painting Machines
Autocoat offers three main types of Automatic Painting Machines — each suited to different production volumes, component types and space requirements:
Batch Automatic Painting Machine
Flexible batch productionDesigned for batch production where components are loaded, painted automatically and unloaded in groups — ideal for varied product sizes and medium volumes.
- Automatic spray gun on movable arm
- Control unit outside the booth enclosure
- Suitable for plastic, ABS & FRP products
- Can be combined with IR / UV oven
- Medium production volumes
Conveyorised Automatic Painting Line
High-volume continuous productionA continuous production line where components travel on a conveyor through the automatic painting zone — ideal for high-volume, uniform-sized components.
- Continuous flow — no wait time
- Highest throughput per shift
- Auto Spray Painting Line without Robot
- Integrates with air supply & drying ovens
- Very popular in China for toy painting lines
Portable Auto Painting Machine
Flexible, moveable installationA portable automatic painting machine — easy to move and reconfigure — offering automatic spray painting capabilities without a fixed installation.
- Moveable — no fixed installation required
- Quick setup for different product types
- Can be added to existing painting areas
- Small air supply unit add-on available
- Infrared and UV oven integration available
Autocoat China Tie-Up – Evaluation Criteria
Autocoat has a tie-up with reputed leading manufacturers from China for Automatic Painting Machines, Automatic Painting Lines and Auto Spray Painting Lines. These machines are imported, tested to international standards and Autocoat stands behind every product. The tie-up was established after careful evaluation of the following criteria:
- Quality & Performance of Product — Every machine is evaluated for painting quality, consistency and durability in Indian production conditions.
- Availability of Spares During Life of Equipment — Spare parts availability throughout the machine’s working life is verified before finalising the tie-up.
- Training of Autocoat Engineers — Autocoat engineers are trained by the Chinese manufacturer to provide full technical support to Indian customers.
- To Answer Every Technical Question from Customer in India — Autocoat commits to answering every technical question from the customer in India — ensuring full local support for imported equipment.
Automatic Painting Machines can be added on with small air supply units and infrared and UV ovens — creating a complete mini finishing line. High-volume Toy Painting Lines are very popular in China and are competitively priced for good quality products. Autocoat’s tie-up with Chinese companies offers a wide range of models at competitive prices for the Indian market.
